Scaling Plan

Maven’s scaling plan is based on sustained performance: traders must profit 10% over 4 months (2.5% per month) and process at least 1 payout per month; qualifying accounts receive a 25% balance increase. This is repeatable up to $1,000,000, and Maven notes the max withdrawal cap scales alongside the scaling plan.

Daily Loss Limit

Maximum Daily Loss

Maven’s daily loss limits vary by program and are measured from the higher of balance or equity at 00:00 UTC (daily reset window). One-Step uses 3% daily drawdown, Two-Step uses 4%, and Three-Step uses 2%. Instant and Maven Mini accounts also use a 2% daily loss limit.

Maximum Overall Loss

Maximum Overall Loss

Maven’s overall loss rules depend on the account type: One-Step uses a 5% trailing max loss from the highest equity watermark; Two-Step uses an 8% static max loss from the initial balance; Three-Step uses a 3% static max loss from the initial balance. Instant and Maven Mini accounts use a 3% trailing max loss and also enforce a strict 1% maximum floating/open loss rule.

Drawdown Model

Drawdown Model

Maven combines several drawdown models depending on the program: static drawdown (fixed from initial balance) on Two-Step and Three-Step, trailing drawdown (moves with equity highs) on One-Step, Instant and Maven Mini, and daily drawdown calculated from the higher of balance/equity at 00:00 UTC.

Broker

N/A (simulated trading only). Maven LLC states all accounts are demo accounts with simulated funds and trading is conducted in a simulated environment; it does not act as a broker or provide regulated investment services.

Commissions

Commissions

Maven’s published commissions are per-way: $2 per way on FX ($4 round trip), $3 per way on precious metals ($6 round trip), and $3 per way on energy ($6 round trip). Digital ETFs, indices, and (non-metal/energy) commodities are listed with $0 commissions. Maven also states swap is zero across all accounts.

News & Event Trading

News trading restrictions apply to evaluation and funded accounts: traders cannot open or close trades within 2 minutes before or after red-folder news events (ForexFactory), and profits generated in that window may prevent passing. Maven states the news rule does not apply to Instant and Mini accounts.

Payout Frequency

Payout Frequency

For One-Step, Two-Step, Three-Step and Instant accounts, Maven states withdrawals can be requested every 10 business days after your first trade. Maven Mini is a 24-hour program with payouts available on-demand within the 24-hour window (single payout; account closes after the first withdrawal).

Evaluation & Account Rules

Challenges

Maven offers five account tracks:

  • 1-Step: Single phase with an 8% profit target, 3% daily drawdown and 5% trailing max drawdown.
  • 2-Step: Two phases with 8% then 5% targets, 4% daily drawdown, 8% static max drawdown, plus 3 minimum profitable days (0.5%) per phase.
  • 3-Step: Three phases with 3% targets each, 2% daily drawdown and 3% static max drawdown.
  • Instant: No evaluation phases; traders must keep a 20% consistency score and reach a 3% minimum payout threshold while respecting 1% max open/floating risk, 2% daily drawdown and 3% trailing max drawdown.
  • Maven Mini: A 24-hour, single-payout model with one trade at a time and the same 1% max floating risk / 2% daily / 3% trailing framework plus a 20% consistency score.

Trading Permissions

Weekend Trades

Weekend holdings are permitted for all account types (positions may be held over the weekend, subject to underlying market hours and instrument availability).

Copy Trading

Copy trading from another individual is prohibited; if detected, both users may be breached/terminated. Maven treats cross-user copying and related ‘gamifying’ patterns (including reversing accounts) as cheating behavior.

EA Allowed

No. Maven states Expert Advisors (EAs) are not permitted across its platforms; automated trading use can prevent challenge passing and may lead to suspension/termination.

Prohibited Strategies

Prohibited practices include (non-exhaustive): high-frequency/tick scalping, latency arbitrage, toxic order-flow exploitation, server flooding, reverse/group hedging, exclusive hedging patterns, “all-in” betting/gamifying behavior, and copy trading from other individuals or account-sharing. Maven may terminate accounts and void profits for these behaviors.

Other Details

Refund Policy (Code)

Refund Policy

Maven’s terms state purchases are final and non-refundable once access is granted; however, Maven also states evaluation fees are nonrefundable except after receiving three payouts. Maven’s product pages/FAQ describe accounts as “refundable on the third withdrawal” (fee refund issued on the third withdrawal).

3 Percent Rule (Notes)

3 Percent Rule

Maven does not advertise a universal 3% per-trade rule. Risk is primarily controlled through program-level daily and overall drawdown limits. Instant and Maven Mini accounts additionally enforce a strict 1% maximum floating/open loss rule and require 3% minimum profit for payout eligibility.

Consistency Rule (Notes)

Consistency Rules

Consistency requirements are most explicit on Instant and Maven Mini accounts, where withdrawals require a 20% consistency score (largest winning day/trade divided by total profit, kept at or below 20%) and a 3% minimum profit. Two-Step challenges also require 3 minimum profitable days (0.5%) per phase to progress. Maven’s funded-phase payout controls include an overflow cap ($10,000 per 30-day rolling cycle per trader) and a concentration limit when profits exceed $5,000 (best day or singular trade may not exceed 50% of payout-cycle profit).

Metals Leverage Max 20

Payout Processing Time (Days)

Payout Processing

Maven Mini payouts are described as being processed the next day after the 24-hour trading period ends (subject to approval). For standard funded/instant accounts, withdrawals are requested on a 10-business-day cycle and are processed after compliance checks and the chosen payout rail (Rise/direct bank transfer) timing.

Account Merge Allowed Yes
Max Accounts per Trader

Account limits are primarily allocation-based: Maven states traders can have up to $200,000 in starting capital on funded accounts and can scale up to $1,000,000 via the scaling program. Each person may register only once, and creating multiple accounts with different emails is prohibited.

KYC Required Yes
KYC Stage

KYC is required when requesting a payout and may include identity, address and source-of-funds verification. Maven’s FAQ states checkout/KYC details must match government ID, only one email per person is allowed, and the payment card used must be in the trader’s name; Maven references Veriff for supported-country document coverage.

Restricted Countries Afghanistan, Belarus, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Central African Republic, Congo (Republic of the Congo), Cuba, Eritrea, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Haiti, Iran, Mali, North Korea, Russia, Saint Lucia, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Ukraine, Vanuatu, Venezuela, Yemen

Other Risk Rules

Other Risk Rules

Key firm-wide controls include: 30-calendar-day inactivity limit (no executed trades) for account dormancy, restrictions against account sharing, and an IP-region consistency policy (travel may require proof). Maven prohibits cheating patterns such as latency/HFT/tick scalping, arbitrage, reverse/group hedging, “all-in”/gamifying behavior, and copy trading from other individuals. Maven also reserves the discretion to impose stricter 1% risk limits if it detects excessive trading without appropriate risk management.

Spread Quality

Maven states spreads vary with market conditions (variable spreads). It also advertises zero swap fees across all accounts, which reduces holding-cost friction versus swap-charging CFD structures.

Slippage Policy

Maven operates a simulated environment on third-party platforms (MT5/Match Trader/cTrader) with market pricing feeds; it does not publish a dedicated slippage policy in its public terms/FAQ. Traders should expect execution and pricing conditions to reflect platform and market conditions in simulation, subject to Maven’s anti-abuse rules and reviews.

Martingale Allowed

No. Martingale-style or “position stacking while in drawdown” behavior is treated as gambling (e.g., opening five or more positions within a losing trade) and is prohibited under Maven’s day-trading rules and anti-cheating framework.

Lot Size Limits

Maven does not publish a universal lot cap per trade, but it enforces anti-gambling limits. Its day-trading rules cite “risking more than 50 lots on a 100k account (or equivalent ratio)” as grounds for termination for high-risk gambling behavior, alongside other anti-abuse checks.
